Worship Unfolds In Spring of The Year

Early spring is pregnant with life.

Winter is lagging, cut with a knife.

Darkness is lifting, life and light appear.

Worship unfolds in spring of the year.

Passover celebrates a time to remember

when Jewish ancestors were delivered by the splendor

of the blood of the lamb posted over the door,

the angel of death saw that life was for them and more.

Baskets of bunnies and chocolates are fun,

but the reason for Easter is truly The Son

who came from the Father of Heaven above

to show how much He truly does love

His children on earth who struggle in their sin,

and have no hope when they do it again.

To cover it all, He offered His grace,

His Son went to the cross and took our place.

He shed His blood instead of us,

the sacrifice of his body is payment and makes it just.

He rose from the grave to save us from hell.

From darkness and fire, He protected us well.

When your earthly work is finished and complete

you will lay down to rest and no longer eat.

His heavenly staircase will bring you home.

You will know your destination; no need to roam.

No longer the work, the sweat, the strife,

your Easter gift is eternal life.
